| The Blueroute have been together
since October 2004. In that time they have written and crafted a large range
of material which is now being recorded into their two debut albums. The
first entitled ‘For Friends and Lovers’ was recorded over the
summer and is now on sale at Sonic Sounds in Lincoln and from gigs for £4.
The album is a collection of The Blueroute’s lighter sound but also
contains songs which could not be achieved live to the same effect. The
record was made on a portable 8 track at home with limited resources (due
to poor quality mics the drums are played on a keyboard.) The artwork for
the album designed by Shaun Douglas (lead guitarist) really adds to the
DIY feel of the album and helps create the personal theme that runs throughout
the album. The second record is being worked on as we speak. |
